About Us
. . . . The Coffee Shop was started in 1988 by Betty Ward and the then W.I. who thought that there was nowhere for people to meet and have a chat. Later "by popular demand" a sales table was begun. We found we were making a profit so it was decided to support local charities - each year we send about £200 to the chosen charity.
. . . . We meet in the Drawing Room Studio on the first Tuesday of the month from 10.30am - 12.00. New faces are always welcomed. It is a very pleasant way for newcomers to the village to make friends. The entrance fee is 50p.
